| Indian Panorama Film Festival 2012 |
|
 |
The annual Indian Panorama Film Festival 2012, the veritable melting pot of Indian Cinema, opens on 6th January 2012 with the screening of 3 films at 5:30 pm in Siri Fort Auditorium II, August Kranti Marg. Gracing the inauguration would be the doyens of Banaras gharana, Pandit Rajan-Sajan Mishra.
The festival would end on 29th January 2012, with film screenings the whole on all weekends in between. |

Entries are invited for Indian Panorama 2011.
- Feature & Non-Feature Films
- ELIGIBILITY
- Films certified by CBFC between 1st September 2010 and 31st August 2011.
- Only Digi Betaor DV Cam and one DVD copy of film to be sent with entry form.
- Non-English and non-Hindi films MUST carry English Subtitles.
- Film Schools can send a maximum of 10 (ten) student films.
- DEADLINE : 7th September 2011

| Nalini- Retrospective of Nalini Jawant Film |

A festival of Nalini Jaywant Films was organised on 30th and 31st July 2011 in Sirifort Auditorium, New Delhi.
Nalini Jaywant, who died recently, was along with Devika Rani, one of the first classic female superstars who worked in the golden era of Hindi Cinema- the 1940s and 1950s. She was a relic of a glorious past who lived in an unforgiving present. |

| National Film Festival (17 th June - 16 th July, 2010) |
|
National Film Festival ( 17th June - 16th July 2011) came to a close on 16th July 2011 with the closing film DO DOONI CHAR (Hindi/winner of National Film Award for 2010 for Best Hindi Film) screened to a packed audience. In attendence were lead actors of the film Rishi Kapoor and Ms. Neetu Singh, film director Shri Habib Faisal and film producer-cum-management guru Shri Arindam Chaudhuri.
During the month-long National Film Festival, 23 feature & 19 non-feature National Award-winning films were screened. All the films shows were on weekends, drawing large crowds for most of the shows.
Some of the other film personalities who attended the month-long Festival include Ms. Sonakshi Sinha (Actor), Shri Nagaraj Manjule (Director), Shri Rajesh Pinjani (Director) and Shri Sanjoy Nag (Director). |

| ‘DADA SAHEB PHALKE AWARD’ to SRI K. BALACHANDER for the year 2010 |

Shri K Balachander, veteran film maker, has been conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for 2010. The Award is given by Government of India for outstanding contribution to the growth and development of Indian Cinema. The award consists of Swarna Kamal, a cash prize of Rs 10 lakhs, a shawl and a citation. The Award has been given on the recommendations of a Committee of eminent persons. |
